“Faithful to my Homeland, the Republic of Poland,” a fragment of the Home Army oath, will now be the new motto of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.

Responding to its future challenges, Poland’s Foreign Service is adopting a fragment of the Home Army oath, signed by General Stefan Rowecki ‘Grot’ on 12 December 1942, as an obligation to be fulfilled by Polish diplomats in the 21st century. By doing so, the MFA complies with the ‘Resolution of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland of 20 May 2016 on Defending the Sovereignty of the Republic of Poland, and the Rights of its Citizens’.
