    FOR GRANTING THE HONORARY PATRONAGE
    OF THE CONSULATE GENERAL OF THE REPUBLIC OF POLAND IN NEW YORK
    OR HONORARY COMMITTEE MEMBERSHIP

     

    1. The honorary patronage of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York or Honorary Committee Membership is an honor that emphasizes the special nature of projects directly related to Polish foreign policy, promoting Poland overseas, and activities of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York.

     

    2. This honor may be bestowed primarily on projects of international, national or local scope, rank and significance, which help promote or create a positive image of Polish foreign policy and of Poland itself.

     

    3. For repeat events, applications for the honorary patronage of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York or the Honorary Committee Membership of Consulate General of the Republic of Poland must be filed separately for each event.

     

    4. The Granting of the honorary patronage of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York or Honorary Committee Membership of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York does not constitute a declaration of personal participation of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York, or any financial or organizational support by the Consulate General.

     

    5. The honorary patronage of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York or the Honorary Committee Membership of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York cannot be granted to a project that is commercial, lobbied or advertising related in nature.

     

    6. The honorary patronage of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York or the Honorary Committee Membership of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York does not entitle the organizers of the project to claim or receive any privileged treatment in their relationship with the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, other foreign offices or Polish public administrative bodies, in particular in cases pertaining to public procurement, privatization or visas and administrative decisions. Failure to observe these restrictions will result in the withdrawal of the honorary patronage of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York or the Honorary Committee Membership of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland, due to violation on the part of the organizers.

     

    7. In order to be granted the honorary patronage of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York or the Honorary Committee Membership of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York, organizers must submit the following:

    1) an application for the honorary patronage of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York or the Honorary Committee Membership of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York, completed according to the template provided in the Enclosure to the Terms and Conditions;

    2) other documents, as deemed necessary by the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York.

    9. The application must be filed no later than 30 days before the scheduled project date, using the following address: Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York, 233 Madison Avenue (Jan Karski Corner), New York, NY 10016; nowyjork.kg.sekretariat@msz.gov.pl .

     

    10. In reviewing the application, the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York will assess the following:

    1) whether the project meets the requirements specified in Item 2;

    2) whether the purpose and form of the project justify the involvement of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York;

    3) for education or opinion forming projects — their expected applicable content, in particular:

    a) speech/lecture topics,

    b) the selection and qualifications of speakers and invited guests,

    c) the type of institution providing applicable support,

    4) any potential risk that the project has overt or secret underlying commercial, lobbied or advertising related issues;

    5) any potential risk that the honorary patronage of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York will be used for the promotion of products or services, advertising or public relations activities by a commercial entity, in a manner that might suggest any support or endorsement by the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York or the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York for specific products, services or companies;

     

    11. The organizer will be notified in writing about the decision of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York.

     

    12. A decision denying the honorary patronage of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York or the Honorary Committee Membership of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York is final and cannot be appealed.

     

    13. The organizer of the project who has been granted the honorary patronage of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York or whose committee will be granted an Honorary Membership of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York will inform other fellow organizers and participants about this honor by placing relevant information and the logo of the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York in all promotional and informational materials related to the project’s implementation.

     

    14. In special cases, the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York may rescind the decision granting this honor. In such cases, the organizer will be promptly notified in writing.
